On Thursday, July 4, at 5 p.m., Darius Jones will start the series of solo sets. The New York alto saxophonist works as a composer and musician in the fields of electro-acoustic and experimental music, chamber music and jazz.

Brìghde Chaimbeul will perform another solo set at the Chapel on Friday, July 5, at 5 p.m. She sees The Prequel “as an exciting opportunity to explore sounds, ideas and collaboration, a chance to try something new, but also time to develop what is already there with more intensity and depth.” Chaimbeul is a leading exponent of experimental Celtic music and Scottish bagpipe music and has developed her own unique way of playing the smallpipe.

Peter Evans has been associated with the Monheim Triennale since the first edition and most recently opened the series of house concerts in the Villa am Greisbachsee. He will be performing a trumpet solo on the last day of the festival on Saturday 6 July at 5 pm. Evans is a composer, trumpeter, improviser and bandleader. He has lived in New York City since 2003 and is part of a broad, hybrid scene of musical experimentation.
