Muqata’a (elektronics) & Fairouz Hasan (film): False Vectors (world premier)
Saturday, July 5, 2025, 11:30 pm, Sojus 7

Muqata’a is an interdisciplinary artist who first emerged as a rapper and beatmaker in Ramallah, Palestine, in the early 2000s - as part of Ramallah Underground, a group that had a lasting impact on the Arab hip-hop scene far beyond the city’s borders. Today, he is known worldwide as an experimental electronic music producer and co-founder of his own record label.

During a three-week residency at the Monheim artist residency Villa am Greisbachsee in December 2024, Muqata’a and Fairouz Hasan developed initial ideas for their Signature Project at The Festival (July 2 – 6, 2025).
