Conversation concert: Rojin Sharafi and Stefan Schneider

We invite you to attend the next conversation concert at the Villa am Greisbachsee. On Sunday, February 9, you can get to know Rojin Sharafi, Monheim Triennale II Signature Artist, and her musical work. She will also be joined by Düsseldorf musician Stefan Schneider. Both will present a musical set and answer Thomas Venker’s questions.
Sharafi was born in Tehran and has lived in Vienna since 2012. “The Wire“ writes about her new, fourth album ”O.O.Orifice“: ”She wields […] a mixture of analog synths, microtonal acoustic and digital instruments, and voice atop beats that hit like high velocity geometry.“
The influential Düsseldorf musician Stefan Schneider was a founding member of the bands Kreidler (1994 – 1999) and To Rococo Rot (1995 – 2014). In 2021, he started the duo So Sner with Susanna Gartmayer. “We are more alike than we are different” is his latest research project about sound and communities in Ghana.
