Willy & Nelsson comment on soccer

This Friday, July 5, at 6 p.m., the European Championship match between Spain and Germany kicks off. We will broadcast the first half of the match on a large screen in the concert hall one hour before the evening concerts begin.

At the beginning of the evening program at 7 p.m., we will then show the first 20 minutes of the second half during the first set (”Wildcard“) at the request of some musicians – without the sound from the TV broadcast. The musicians will provide the musical commentary.

Willy & Nelsson aka Ganavya Doraiswamy and Shahzad Ismaily will play.

Afterwards, we will continue the program as planned with the duo Anushka Chkheidze and Rojin Sharafi.

If you would like to see the match to the end, you can do so in the viewing salon on the upper deck of the bow of the festival ship. There we will show the entire match with original ARD commentary. (Terre Thaemlitz will then present her “Electroacoustic Ambient Set” in this viewing salon at 11 p.m. - without the football broadcast, of course). We will not be showing the second match that evening or the following matches on the Saturday of the festival.
