Terre Thaemlitz at The Prequel: Electroacoustic Ambient Set & Piano Solo

Terre Thaemlitz will perform an Electroacoustic Ambient Set on Friday, July 5, at 11 p.m. and a piano solo on the festival ship on Saturday evening, July 6.

Also known as DJ Sprinkles, Terre Thaemlitz occupies an extremely unique position in this world. Her determined, in-depth commitment to criticality makes it a subject not easily addressed, as she relentlessly forces the mediator to question all preconceptions and assumptions. “I am quite anti-performative and consider myself more of a cultural critic. I don’t see myself as an artist or a musician.”

Terre Thaemlitz was already invited to the first Monheim Triennale, but was unable to attend due to the pandemic and the associated travel restrictions.
We are therefore all the more delighted to welcome her to the stage of the festival ship in July.
