Radio program ”Listen“

January 31, 7 pm on Radio Rakete

”Listen“ is a regular radio program with The Sound curator Frank Schulte on Radio Rakete, the internet radio station of the Sojus 7 in Monheim am Rhein. The next edition will be broadcast on 31 January at 7 pm, this time dedicated to the pioneer of field recording and experimental radio drama Hans Jörg Schmitthenner (1908 – 1993). In the program, you can accompany him to the Amazon, listen to a Mexican wedding and the songs of monks in Tibet and visit the house where Mother Teresa died in Calcutta. During his travels, Schmitthenner recorded numerous sound impressions and ‘ear impressions’, which are no longer available on recordings today and are largely gathering dust in the radio archives.
