Over the last few months, a ‘bass quartet’ consisting of four musicians from Monheim has been formed. With two double basses and two electric bass guitars, the ensemble forms an extraordinary body of sound. Initially, the focus was on arranging pieces from different musical traditions and developing a homogeneous ensemble sound.

For the Monheim Triennale, the quartet is exploring the music of Patti Smith and developing an exclusive performance between open improvisation and atmospheric arrangements, for which they have invited Signature Artist Ludwig Wandinger as a guest.
