Meerfest

Meerfest
Information and experience day of the city of Monheim am Rhein
Sunday, May 25, 2025, 11 am – 6 pm
Greisbachsee, Monheim am Rhein, free admission
Under the motto “Monheim bekommt Meer”, the city of Monheim am Rhein invites you to a maritime information and experience day on the shores of the Greisbachsee. Above all, it is intended to be a family-friendly day with the opportunity to exchange ideas. It will probably be another eight to ten years before the Greisbachsee is transformed into a small maritime center. The town will therefore continue to provide regular information in the future. At the first Monheim Meerfest on May 25, the youngest guests of today and profiteers of tomorrow can also expect a varied program.
The Monheim Triennale team will also be on site. The sound installation “Lost Lullaby” by Anushka Chkheidze and tubular bells by Gerhard Kern will be heard again, as well as a sound transmission from Mischa Kuball’s „Monheim Cube“ to the Villa am Greisbachsee, which has been used by the Monheim Triennale as a venue and artists’ residency for few years.
Further information on the current planning status and future developments is now also available on the municipal marina website www.monheim-bekommt-meer.de.
