The first edition of The Prequel in 2021 already saw a collaboration with the music school’s orchestra classes. And the performance of yuniya edi kwon’s composition ‘dance until you know what it is’ for the upcoming The Festival 2025 is also based on a long-term collaboration: yuniya edi kwon and Shahzad Ismaily got to know the Otto Hahn Gymnasium’s student ensemble during an improvisation workshop during The Prequel 2024. Based on this friendly encounter and in an intensive exchange between the ensemble and the signature artists, a performance is now being created that is based equally on composed and improvised parts.
