Warm up
Here you will find information on warm-up events from 19 June.
The Monheim Triennale and the Middle and upper school choir (MiO choir) of Otto Hahn-Gymnasium have already created a cooperation project for the 2022 festival and performed music by Sam Amidon under the title “The Living Song”. This title goes back to the work of Julia Ùlehla. The Canadian musician refers to the ethnomusicological research of her great-grandfather, who collected and archived Moravian folk music in the early 20th century. Together with her group “Dalava”, she creates contemporary interpretations of these songs. The MiO Choir, under the direction of Natalie Hüskens, has now arranged some of the songs for The Prequel. At the same time, the young musicians also contribute their own thoughts on the subject of life and songs to the joint performance. In keeping with our idea of cooperation, this creates an equal encounter between the Monheim Triennale artists and the pupils.
