Hello, culture lovers!
In the summer of 2024, 16 international musicians gathered for The Prequel workshop edition in Monheim am Rhein, Germany, where they showcased their talents through solo performances and group improvisations. A remarkable sense of community blossomed among the artists. The Monheim Triennale is of immense importance to the musical and cultural fabric of Monheim am Rhein. In addition to the renowned invited artists, the 2024 event saw the active participation of around 75 local musicians and students. Continuing the tradition of previous years, the Monheim Triennale once again fostered rich local collaborations with partners such as Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium, the creators of Musikmaschine, Sojus7, Marienkapelle, Bunter Chor, and talented amateur musicians. These partnerships will not only continue but expand in 2025. Universities from the region also attended the events and engaged in meaningful dialogue with musicians, audiences, and the Triennale team, further enriching the cultural exchange.
Through years of dedicated collaboration, the Monheim Triennale has built strong international networks while forging a lasting connection between the festival and the local community.
The Prequel 2024 not only ignited a sense of excitement for 2025 but also attracted significant attention from regional, national, and international media. From 2 to 6 July 2025, The Festival — the second major edition of the Monheim Triennale — will culminate in groundbreaking performances. These will feature unique ensemble and band projects created specifically for Monheim am Rhein by the 16 Signature Artists.
In its inaugural edition from 2020 to 2022, the Monheim Triennale demonstrated its ability to create exceptional musical experiences through the dynamic combination of The Sound, The Prequel, and The Festival. The Triennale truly brings the world to Monheim am Rhein. We look forward to many more exciting years of creativity and collaboration.
