At the heart of the project is Evans’ trio Being & Becoming, featuring Tyshawn Sorey on drums and three vocalists. Sofia Jernberg, Signature Artist of Monheim Triennale I, brought Evans to Monheim in 2022. Now Evans is bringing Jernberg back.

Also included are Alice Tessier, flautist and classical singer, and Mazz Swift, violinist and vocalist. As for the composition, Evans frequently returns to the structure of a Bach cantata.

The project is in two parts and will be presented on consecutive days.
