Warm up
Wed June 19 and Wed June 26, 9 p.m.
Rheinbogen, Am Werth
(51,09103° N, 6,87829° O)
To shorten the waiting time until The Prequel, the makers of Sojus 7 “Musikmaschine” invite you to two “Sundown Sessions” at the Rheinbogen. Inspired by Angela de Weijer’s “Siren Sundown” from last year, the two Monheim musicians Jannik Klaue and Till Kentemich will stage a musical performance together with Triennale “Artist in Residence” Achim Tang and anyone else who wants to join in. The interactive format will also conclude the first festival evening on 4 July with the participation of signature artists – the warm up sessions on the Rhine are thus a prelude to the Monheim Triennale 2024.
Tue July 2, 2024, 8:30 p.m.
Spielmann, Turmstraße 21, 40789 Monheim am Rhein
The anticipation is rising and the first signature artists are already in Monheim. Reason enough for a joint session with local musicians and artists from Monheim Triennale II. Among others, Anushka Chkheidze and Ludwig Wandinger have announced their participation. Marcel Kolvenbach from the Monheim Music School will host the event.
The session will take place in the ”Spielmann“ pub in Turmstraße in Monheim’s old town, starting at 8:30 p.m., admission is free.
Wed July 3, 2024, 5 p.m.
Zum goldenen Hans
For many years, Julia Ulehla has been staging gatherings of different people in musical encounters at various locations. These meetings form an informal framework for the exchange of songs from different cultures, each of which has a special meaning for the participants. People sing for and with each other without constraint or formality, tell each other their stories and effortlessly overcome all the linguistic and other barriers that separate us in everyday life.
With this format, Julia meets the “Sprachbar”, a project for encounters with refugees, which is offered in Monheim by Sojus 7 and the “beratungsCentrum e.V.”.
